Welcome to Our Tavern
Nestled in the heart of our beautiful mountain community, our tavern is a place where great food, live music, and friendly faces come together. Since purchasing and opening the tavern in July 2021, owners Rich and Kerrie Marr have been dedicated to creating a welcoming destination for both locals and visitors alike.
Over the past few years, we’ve made significant improvements to enhance the experience for everyone who walks through our doors. From new lighting and flooring to an expanded kitchen and loading dock, every update has been made with our guests in mind. We’ve also added a spacious deck featuring a hand-built pergola, comfortable new tables and chairs, a custom-built stage for live entertainment, and a patio complete with picnic tables and umbrellas so you can relax and enjoy the mountain air.
Live music is at the heart of what we do, with performances every weekend throughout the year, along with a variety of fun events that bring our community together. Whether you’re stopping in for a meal, enjoying a drink with friends, or dancing the night away, there’s always something happening at our tavern.
Operating a tavern in a small mountain town comes with unique challenges. Higher operating costs—including water and waste removal through a vault system, increased delivery expenses for food and supplies, and staffing—are simply part of serving our community in such a special location. Even so, we wouldn’t trade it for anything.
The rewards far outweigh the challenges. We’re fortunate to call this beautiful mountain setting home, surrounded by breathtaking lake and mountain views and a community that truly feels like family. Our goal is to provide a warm, inviting atmosphere where everyone feels welcome, dependable hours you can count on, and memorable experiences you’ll want to come back for again and again.

Meet the Owners
Rich and Kerrie Marr
Welcome! We’re Rich and Kerrie Marr, proud owners and operators of The Tavern at Red Feather Lakes and Marr’s Mountain Cabins. We purchased both businesses in July 2021 with a shared dream of creating welcoming places where friends, families, and visitors can gather, relax, and experience the beauty of the Colorado mountains.
Rich was born and raised in Michigan, and you’ll notice his pride in his home state reflected throughout The Tavern. Kerrie is a Colorado native who has always called these mountains home. While she enjoys traveling and exploring other parts of the country, there’s no place she’d rather be than right here in Colorado.
Living and working in Red Feather Lakes has been an incredible blessing. We love investing in both of our businesses, continually making improvements that enhance the experience for our tavern guests and cabin visitors. Even more meaningful than the projects we’ve completed are the wonderful friendships we’ve built within this amazing community. We truly love our little corner of the mountains and are grateful to call Red Feather Lakes home.
Music has always been a central part of our lives. Kerrie spent 15 years serving in music leadership as a vocalist, while Rich has played drums with a variety of bands over the years. Together, we’ve shared a lifelong appreciation for live music and the way it brings people together.
Before becoming tavern owners, we also spent many years building stages for churches. Today, we’re proud to have designed and built a state-of-the-art stage inside The Tavern at Red Feather Lakes, where we now host live music every weekend throughout the year. Watching talented musicians perform and seeing our guests enjoy themselves has become one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.
